This recipe is in my favorite category of recipes – easy to make, easy to succeed!
Some would maybe say that it is unnecessary with a recipe for such a simple thing like this, but for amateurs like myself it is always safer with a recipe. However, there is no doubt that the condiments in an eggsalad can be varied in so many ways. Some recipes have ingredients like curry, mustard, apple, celery, nuts etc. I guess everyone has their favorite eggsalad, and this one is mine.
Please note that all the measures of ingredients are approximate, and should be adjusted according to taste.
- 6 hardboiled eggs
- 100 ml sour cream
- 50 ml mayonaise
- lots of chopped chives
- 1 tsp paprike powder, can also be smoked paprika
- a dash of chilipowder
- a few drops tabasco (5-6)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- a little lemonjuice, optional
Peel the eggs, chop them roughly into pieces. A quick way is to do them twice through the eggslicer, once in each direction.
Mix well together sour cream, mayo, chives, paprika and chilipowder. Add tabasco, sugar, salt, pepper and lemonjuice (if using) according to taste.
Mix in the chopped eggs, and Voila!
